Yes. IKEA has buffet and I tried it last Friday. When I first got their e-mail regarding to this Mid-summer festival buffet, I was like, really??? Give them a call after work on Friday. They still got tickets and only $9.99/person. OK. I am coming.
I thought the buffet would be same as their normal food court but just all you can eat style but it was not. They set up the place pretty nice. It really looks like a buffet. They even have life music. However, the food is pretty much the same as the food court but with some additional dishes such as herring and smoke salmon. All of the food served in the buffet you can get it in their market. I am glad that I went. I always want to try their grocery goods but just don't know which one is good. Surprisingly, I like the herring quite a bit. I think I will get some next time when I visit IKEA. I think it's a once a year event in IKEA. I am not sure if I will go next year as I can get everything from their store. However, I did buy ticket to their Crayfish party on August right after I finish the mid-summer buffet. Be honest, I just miss the crayfish I had in New Orleans so much. I was trying so hard to find a place here in Salt Lake that serve crayfish. I am just so happy I went to the mid-summer buffet. Now, I can wait to crack open some crayfish!!!
